How do I make a transparent images to lay over my photos on my website in to protect it from getting stolen?
I read that in order to protect my images/photos from being stolen from my website, that I should put a transparent image over my photos, so that way when someone right-clicks to save my photo, they’re in actuality, right clicking the transparent image instead.
But I’m wondering now….how do I make a transparent image to put over the photos? Do I just lay a text box over it or, ???

If a photo is on the computer screen, IT CAN BE TAKEN, I don’t care what kind of right click “protection” you have. I can get anything that is on my screen with a simple press of three keys on my keyboard. Forget the “transparency” nonsense. Make your photos no larger than about 600 pixels on the longest side at 72 PPI and at a JPEG compression level of no higher than 5. The photo will still look fine on the computer, but will be worthless to try to steal, print, or enlarge. Placing a watermark over the photo is an extra measure of protection but in order for that to have any effect, it needs to be plastered over all of your photo, effectively ruining the look of it.
Bottom line, if you are paranoid about people stealing your work, don’t put it on the web. Plain and simple.
